Coface has renewed its signing of L’Autre Cercle’s LGBTQIA+ Commitment Charter, reaffirming its dedication to fostering a diverse, inclusive and supportive workplace. This renewed pledge highlights the Group’s ongoing efforts to ensure that every employee can thrive in an environment built on respect, equality and psychological safety.
On June 17, Coface formally renewed its commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion by re-signing L’Autre Cercle’s LGBTQIA+ Commitment Charter. Established by the French organisation L’Autre Cercle, the Charter promotes workplace equality, respect for LGBTQIA+ individuals and the prevention of all forms of discrimination.
While the initiative was launched in France, Coface applies these principles across its international operations. The Group is committed to embedding inclusivity and equal opportunities throughout its global workforce, while adapting its approach to local contexts and employee needs.
Our commitment to L’Autre Cercle reflects a simple conviction: everyone should be able to be themselves at work, in a respectful and safe environment.
The progress made is encouraging, and we must continue to put this commitment to inclusion into practice on a daily basis, throughout the Group.
Pierre Bévierre, Head of Human Resources.
Strong Results Demonstrate Positive Progress
Recent findings in France highlight the effectiveness of Coface’s inclusion initiatives. According to internal employee surveys, 98% of employees consider Coface an LGBTQIA+-friendly workplace. In addition, only 3% reported experiencing unequal treatment, significantly below the 12% recorded in the benchmark survey.
These results reflect years of dedicated work involving employees, managers, DE&I ambassadors and allies. Awareness campaigns, training programmes, knowledge sharing and continued efforts to strengthen anti-discrimination practices have all contributed to creating a more inclusive workplace culture.
A Shared Responsibility and Zero Tolerance for Discrimination
Coface remains vigilant against any form of inappropriate behaviour in the workplace. Homophobic comments, discriminatory language, exclusionary behaviour or harassment have no place within the Group and must never be normalised.
The company therefore maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination in all its forms. Coface believes that every employee should have the opportunity to work in an environment that is respectful, open and secure.
By renewing its commitment to L’Autre Cercle’s Charter, Coface further strengthens its ambition to advance workplace diversity, equity and inclusion while continuing to build a culture where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered.
