Julien Marcilly appointed Coface Chief Economist

J. Marcilly

Julien Marcilly is appointed Chief Economist of Coface, with effect from 2 March 2015, reporting to Jean-Marc Pillu, CEO. He will take over from Yves Zlotowski, who has decided to pursue a career path outside economic research and the credit insurance industry.

Julien Marcilly, 32, has been Yves Zlotowski’s deputy and Head of Country Risk at Coface since 2012. He joined Coface from New-York based asset management company, Artio Global Investors, and was an economist with Société Générale prior to this. With an extensive background in emerging markets, a PhD in financial economics from Paris-Dauphine, and a Master in Management from ESCP Europe, he is uniquely qualified to succeed in this challenging position.

In his fourteen years at Coface, Yves Zlotowski strengthened Coface’s Economic Research team, introducing new publications and deepening the group’s regional economic expertise.
